Welcome to our class page!

 

Welcome to Year 1's class page, here you will find out all the importnat information you need to know about Year 1. We have a fantastc groups of children wo are working extremely hard. This year we will be involved in many different exciting topics and projects, one of which is out Talk for Writing where the children will be reading and writing their own stories. 

We thank you so much for you support in your childrens learning. Below is some information you may find useful throughout the year.

All About Year 1

Class Teacher: Miss Gosling

In Year 1 we are helping the children to find their own way of learning through use of many activities and resources. One of the many important aspects of Year 1 is our reading, it is very important that the children read their books every day as it is one of the most vital skills. 

Homework

Spelling: Monday

Maths: Wednesday

It is important that the children practise their spellings every day (15 minutes is more than enough!) which will help he children to become much more confident!

Spelling Test Day: Friday

Attached is the timetable for changing the childrens reading books. 

Important Dates

WB 11th June- Phonics testing week. 

Our PE day is a Friday

Uniform

Correct uniform is to be worn for school. P.E. kits should stay in school throughout the week. Note that jewellery is not allowed to be worn in school.
