This term in Year 6

We were learning about "Trading" hands on, as it were, as part of our History topic on Benin. I have some photographs of us at Our Lady's last week, Science Investigations day "Electricity".

HUGE part of this half term is taking on responsibility as role models for the younger children and ambassadors for our school. Taking responsibility for our own learning and our own behaviour will be stressed as important life skills.

As far as the curriculum is concerned this half term:

Writing biographies of a special person in our own family / "The Arrival"

                Moving onto "Romeo and Juliet"

Mathematics: Numbers up to 1,000,000, Negative numbers, Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication

Science: Light

French: Our Families, Introducing ourselves (conversational French)

Humanities: Benin Empire.

RE: Love, different types of love and how we show it.

PE: Handball
