The Scottish Play

Class: Year 6 Year: 2015-2016

It has been another busy week for Year 6, on Tuesday, we were treated to a performance of Macbeth! Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's tragedies, and tells the story of a brave Scottish general named Macbeth who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and encouraged by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the throne for himself. As the tragedy unfolds, Macbeth continues to murder more of his friends until he is finally stopped by McDuff! It was  fantastic performance!

We also carried out a fair scientific experiment to test the properties of materials, Our aim was to find out which material is the most absorbent. The majority of us got the same answer and found kitchen roll to be the most appropriate.

Don't forget to carry on working on your SATS booklets, however do not do Thursday's Geometry, measure and statistics - we will work on this in class.

Our class assembly will be help Monday 14th March - 9am.
